Guided Implant Placement with Hard & Soft Tissue Management.

Case Study 9

CASE DESCRIPTION:

The patient presented with a failed upper dentition, requiring a comprehensive and prosthetically driven approach. Dr. Nik employed precise implant planning and guided surgery to place 6 Conelog Progressive implants from Biohorizons, ensuring optimal positioning without any bone reduction. Allograft (Mineros) was placed in the sockets, and PRF membranes were used to enhance soft tissue healing.

To support the provisional phase, Dr. Nik collaborated with Gosia Ciepiela, who expertly adjusted the printed titanium- reinforced composite provisional restoration. For soft tissue management, Dr. Nik performed coronal advancement using sling sutures around the provisional restoration, ensuring the proper contour and position for future restoration.

Immediately after implant placement, a panoramic x-ray confirmed the successful positioning of the implants and bridge. The healing of both soft and hard tissues was monitored closely, with the sutures removed two weeks post-surgery and soft tissue sculpting observed three weeks later. Dr. Nik ensured the provisional restoration was accurately adjusted, leading to the fabrication of the final restoration, combining the Titanium Bridge Base by Atlantis with monolithic zirconia, expertly designed by Gosia Ciepiela.

At the three-month review, Dr. Nik assessed the healing and adaptation of the soft tissue, ensuring optimal aesthetics and stability before the final prosthesis fit.

This case highlights Dr. Nik’s proficiency in guided implant surgery, soft and hard tissue management, and collaborative care in achieving seamless restorative results. His expertise offers invaluable insights for complex cases, making him a top choice for referrals and mentorship in advanced restorative dentistry.
